Viewing the broadcast on the virtual ballroom platform
The virtual ballroom platform will open at 12pm AEST (9am AWST) to allow you to check that you are all set up for the event before we go live. To enter, click on the button at the top of the page: ENTER THE BALLROOM. The awards broadcast will start at 2pm AEST (11am WST).
Please make sure your device is compatible with Vimeo.
Logging into the ballroom
Please ensure you use a laptop with a camera and microphone. This feature is not available on your mobile phone. You can access the ballroom using the email used for your registration. Your event password will be a PIN that will give you access to the ballroom (this will be sent to you in your registration confirmation email, once you have completed your registration).
Table name
The virtual ballroom will allow you to view the event alongside your colleagues in a Zoom video format. If you wish to view the live broadcast only or are watching the event with others in-person, please select this option during the registration process and we will not add you to a virtual table.
The ‘table name’ entered during the registration process will determine which virtual table you are allocated to. To network with other guests privately, select the link ‘create a new private room’ and add people from the list available.
Your guest/s can join your table up to 24 hours prior to the event. Following this, any request will need to be sent to events@momentumconnect.com.au for them to be manually added.
Create a televised experience in your home
If you’d like to watch the awards on your TV, log in to the ballroom platform on a laptop and use a HDMI cord to connect laptop to the TV (make sure you don’t forget your laptop charger). The quality of the broadcast will be determined by the strength of your internet connection. If available, connect your laptop to the internet with a hard wire cable. If using wi-fi, make sure that there are no other devices streaming at the same time.
Ballroom feature instructions
- Chat with your table: hold down your space bar to talk and then release when finished.
- Message your table: click the chat icon on the bottom left of the ballroom window.
- Create a new room: to create another room with attendee, click ‘create a new private room with your fellow attendees’ and it will send them a notification and invite them to join.
- Switch between rooms: navigate between rooms by clicking the table name on the top right of your screen.
Tech support during the broadcast
On the day, we will have live support on hand to assist you if you are experiencing any issues during the broadcast. Once you have logged into the virtual ballroom, click the chat icon at the bottom right of the screen. By default, your audio is muted within the ballroom platform. This helps reduce any audio feedback for your other table members.
